Your Secret Beauty Weapon

On this national day of thanks giving, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to the people and things that I am thankful for. That whole thing got me thinking.. the people I know who are the most beautiful (inside and out) are those who are happiest. And happiness comes, in large part, from being fully aware of all the great and amazing parts of your life.

So no matter what you are wearing today. No matter if your family dons jeans and chills in front of the TV all day or if your mother has planned a formal four-course meal. No matter if you’re going through a rough time now. No matter if you are physically with the people you love the most or far away from them… Do yourself this beauty favor and make a list of the things you are thankful for. If nothing else it will bring a smile to your face that can last the day - and as Annie says, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile.”

Here’s an abridged version of my list: life, family (extended and immediate), friends (especially those who bridge the distance between us with phone calls and emails), freedom (and those who fight for it), fashion, this blog and its readers, fall leaves, spring flowers, the sound of rain falling on a roof, the smell of winter in the air, the laughter of little children, a killer pair of high heels, eyes (mine and others), music, football, books, words, color, my job, technology (yeah I’m a sucker for my Blackberry, MacBook, and things like Twitter), Starbucks runs…

What are you most thankful for???
