I almost gave away this velvet jacket after wearing it only once last winter. (I’ve owned it for probably 4 years.) But as I separated clothing on my bedroom floor to be given away or to be put back in my closet I decided to keep it. After all velvet was making a comeback this winter and boyfriend inspired jackets are all the rage. I decided instead to give it one more winter. If I wore it then it stays. If I don’t it goes in the Spring.
Then today I was piecing together my outfit and realized this was the perfect accent for the leopard-print dress, especially if the purple lining was exposed via rolled sleeves. I’ve never been so glad I saved something. (usually I’m a big-time pitcher.)
Tip: A splash of color can take a good outfit and make it amazing.
